Creating the Website of Vaccination Campaign against Measles and Rubella

Website address: http://www.privivka.uz      Launch date: December 6, 2006

The website was requested by Uzbekistan Country Office of the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF)

VACCINE ACTION, mass vaccination campaign, will inoculate gratis against measles and rubella all young people of age 10-29.

All young people as well as managers, who indeed cherish their staff’s health, will find this website useful.

So, what have we done for persuading people to get vaccinated?

  1. We collected all relevant data on the main page

The home page tells basic things about the campaign, vaccination, schedule of adult incidence growth rate, and the counter: first it showed the campaign start days, and then the number of already vaccinated people.
  2. Home page

  3. We described measles and rubella

The website has the most pressing facts about measles and rubella. You can learn for example that there are no medications to cure measles and no visible symptoms in up to 9% of rubella cases among kids.

  4. We informed about vaccination

The website contains numerous evidence proving that vaccination is the efficient, safe, fast and free way of protecting yourselves and your kin against measles and rubella.

  5. We showed the nearest outpatient hospitals

Our interactive map will guide you to the nearest outpatient hospital. Just click on the relevant district or select it from the list.

Plus we took care of journalists covering this campaign

All relevant information (print-friendly versions of photos, organizers’ logos, press-releases, and hospital lists) was archived into one downloadable file.
