Corporate Identity of Cinema Group

Launch date: July 18, 2006

We designed the corporate identity of Cinema Group including the logo, letterheads, and business cards.

It took us some time to find the idea of the logo. While working, we tried plenty of options - 3D, modern, and technological styles – and eventually decided to use the image of Hoja Nasreddin.

The logo of Cinema

Hoja Nasreddin is a folklore character, built up of dissimilar features; he is a sly, wise, and joking and at the same time simple and star-crossed fellow.

No Hoja Nasreddin is ever possible without his donkey; therefore, you could see it in the logo.

Our artist (by the way, her surname is Nasreddinova) drew her Hoja Nasreddin only after the careful study of all related materials and anecdotes and covered all discovered facts. This is why, for example, Hoja Nasreddin has the sly look of joker, is dressed in chapan (national Uzbek robe), and rides a black donkey.

Welcome Hoja Nasreddin as he is

We selected the Arabic characters for outlining the Company’s title. However, since the word Cinema had to be in Latin script, we chose and finished off Linotype Pide Nashi TT font, imitating the Arabic characters.

Corporate letterheads, envelopes and business cards have Hoja Nasreddin riding through a desert.
